Katie Myers of West Palm Beach, Florida, experienced a beautiful moment last week when she witnessed an unidentified boy interacting with Kaden, her 18 month old son.
Kaden was diagnosed at 7 months old with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), which caused the toddlers muscles to weaken increasingly over time. Since Kaden is in a wheelchair, if he drops a toy he can’t reach it. During a routine playtime at the South Florida Science Center & Aquarium, a young boy was helping Kaden interact with the exhibits. The young boy didn’t see a wheelchair; he saw another kid just like him and helped him out.
Myer’s hopes that getting this picture out there will help her find the mystery boy and thank him being a kind soul by helping and engaging with her son.
