I’M NOT SUPERMOM, I CAN’T DO IT ALL

is917-021

Society likes  to believe that as a mother, I can do it all, that I have infinite endurance and unlimited patience, but that’s simply not the case. I have been an individual longer than I’ve been a mother. Thus being the case, there are moments, in frequent moments, but moments where I need a helping hand. In those moments, it’s nice to be able to reach out to those that mean so much, my amazing friends.

Last week, I had to pack everything up and move my family. Given the stress that goes along with moving, multiply that by some large number while dealing with hyperactive children with varying attention spans. Not to mention the one that wanted to play with feet annihilators, aka Legos, in the minefield known as our living room.

Fortunately, I have friends who took my three littles ones for the weekend and allowed me to deal with all the pleasures of moving. I didn’t have to worry about what they were eating while I set up our water, electric, gas and while I got the Internet transferred. For those moments I can’t be Wonder Woman, I’m eternally grateful for my friends for allowing me to recharge my batteries  so I can do battle another day.

When was a critical time that your friends helped you with your children? When did you do the same for your friends?
