A father was threatened by Child Protective Services (CPS) to have his children taken away. He let his 10 and 6 year olds play at a playground two blocks away without supervision, and then he let them walk home unattended. When a neighbor saw the children walking down the street, they called the police. The children were picked up by a police officer and taken home. Afterwards, CPS threatened to take the children away from the father and mother due to negligence. The neighborhood is a safe neighborhood with paved sidewalks. What are your thoughts?
